NERVous system regulation

Calmness begins in the nervous system.

Many people live for years with tension, inner restlessness, exhaustion, or the feeling that they constantly have to keep going.
Over time, the body can lose its ability to naturally return to a state of safety, balance and regulation.

My nervous system work is desigend for people who feel chronically tense, exhausted, overwhelmed or unable to fully relax into a sense of safety — even when, on the outside, “everything seems to be fine.” The answer lies in the nervous system.

The nervous system is constantly asking one fundamental question: Am I safe?

How we answer this question — consciously or unconsciously — influences how we feel, think, breathe, move and connect with others. The mind and body continuously influence one another, which means nervous system regulation can be approached through both mind and body.

For this reason, every session includes body-based practices.
Depending on your individual needs, sessions may also incorporate:

  • TRE®-based practices (neurogenic tremoring)*

  • Polyvagal-informed nervous system work

  • Breathwork and breathing regulation

  • Body awareness and mindful movement

  • Yoga Nidra

  • Vipassana meditation

  • Practical self-regulation techniques for everyday life

This work may be supportive for people experiencing:

  • Ongoing stress and overwhelm

  • Exhaustion and difficulty recovering

  • Inner restlessness or difficulties with sleep

  • Low mood or periods of depression

  • The effects of stressful or overwhelming life experiences

  • Difficulty slowing down, relaxing or feeling safe in your body

  • A desire for greater body awareness, self-regulation and inner stability

How I Work

Every person and every nervous system is different. Some people benefit from developing greater awareness and interoception. Others may respond well to neurogenic tremoring, breathing practices or specific body-based regulation techniques.
There is no fixed protocol. The work is guided by your current state, your individual needs and your capacity at that moment.
The aim is not to force the nervous system into a particular state, but to gradually develop greater awareness, capacity and choice.

Why This Work Matters to Me

Nervous system work is not only a professional field of interest for me — it is also deeply personal.
I know from my own life what it means to move through periods of eating disorder, depression, experiences of bullying and profound internal stress. During those times, movement and exercise were an important anchor for me. These experiences shaped my understanding of how deeply challenging experiences can affect not only our thoughts and emotions, but also our body, sense of safety and nervous system.
For many years, I have explored the connection between movement, the body, the nervous system and emotional regulation. Alongside my work as a sports scientist, I continue to deepen my education in Polyvagal Theory, TRE®, Kinesiology and body-based approaches to nervous system regulation.

My intention is not to optimise people or fight their symptoms.
I want to create a space in which the body can once again be experienced as a place of safety, orientation, connection and vitality.
